About Steff Tortell

Steff Tortell was born in England to Maltese parents and has always loved cooking, kitchens and reading and writing about food. She collects cookery books (350+ and counting) and family recipes, loves cooking for others, sharing recipes and eating out. With her husband and 6 year old son, she grows her own veggies and fruit on their allotment and is introducing UK friends to Kohl Rabi and Qara Baghli. She frequently cooks Maltese inspired recipes, adapting them to modern tastes – Figolli and Pastizzi being firm favourites.

Travelling frequently for work, she picks up ideas from all around the world, but loves coming back to Malta and Gozo to visit family and friends and get a good dose of sunshine.
