Sundried tomatoes

Choose some ripe but firm tomatoes, wash and dry;  split in halves and put on a dish lined with baking paper;  sprinkle liberally with rock salt and cover with a net;  put in the sun for three or four days but take in at night as dew will spoil them.  Bottle and top with either olive oil and dried basil leaves or white vinegar.
