Fruit cake
Beat together 225g margerine and 225g sugar; add four eggs beating well after each addition. Add some vanilla drops and 3 tbs milk. Sieve 350g flour, 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda, 1 tsp baking powder. Mix 100g glazed cherries 100g candied peel, 100g nuts, zest of half lemon with some of the flour. Fold in the flour then the fruit. Bake in a moderate oven (fan electric 160) for about 45 minutes.
