I made this for my youngest son Malik and all the family enjoyed them and now this dish is part of our family menu . I sometimes use diced or strips of chicken or beef . If you like it extra spicy you can use fresh chilis slice and fry with the onion .
Ingredients : for 6 servings
10 pkts noodles
3 pkts wudy sausages sliced or 400g chicken breast or sliced beef diced or cut into strips
1 pkt frozen veg Chinese style or a
selection of vegetables
mushrooms
1 large onion sliced
soy sauce
2 tablespoons ketchup
worchester sauce
chili or cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon of each coriander, cumin, tumeric ,curry and ground mustard seeds
Method:
Fill a large pot 3/4 with water to cook the noodles.
While it boils, heat a saucepan and some oil til quite hot. Add the ground mustard seeds and the rest of the spices.
Fry for a minute so they release their flavors.
Add the onion and fry til transparent.
Then mix in the wudy sausage, chicken or beef and fry .
Add the mixed veg stirring from time to time while frying.
Mix in the ketchup, dashes of soy an
d worchester sauce .
Put on low heat and let it simmer.
Put the soup sachets in boiling w
ater and cook noodles .
When noodles are ready either serve with the sauce on top or strain some of the noodle water depends how you prefer it and mix in the sauce .
Serve with chili sweet sauce or chili garlic sauce or tobasco sauce.
