P.D.N.J.C Passio Domini Nostri Jesu Christi

Passio Domini Nostri Jesu Christi

Cappella Sanctae Catharinae, Malta’s only male choir, will be putting up a concert of sacred music for Holy Week under the title P.D.N.J.C.
This year, the concerts will be tied to the statues used in the traditional Holy Week processions that are held all over Malta. The concert will offer a series of musical reflections on the passion story, using polyphonic works from the 16th and 17th centuries.
Amongst the composers represented, there will be music by Palestrina, Victoria, Monteverdi and Tartini.

The choir Cappella Sanctae Catharinae will be having the concerts in four different parish churches across Malta, three of which will have the Good Friday processional statues out on display. The dates are as follows:

Monday 2nd April, Msida
Tuesday 3rd April, Ħal Għargħur

All concerts are free, but a donation towards the needs of the choir and the respective churches would be appreciated.
