Pudina tal-ħobż bil-lewż u l-frawli! (almond strawberry bread pudding!)


Almond and strawberry pudding

Tear half a loaf of bread (slices) into pieces and soften in one mug warm milk and one cup hot water.  Mix to a soft consistency.   Add 2 cups pure ground almonds, (optional) few drops of almond essence, some vanilla essence,  2 beaten eggs, strawberry jam (about half a jar), fresh strawberries, few knobs of butter, sugar to taste (around 3 tbs), and raw almonds to decorate the top.  Bake in a moderate oven (150 fan oven) for about 45 mins.  Nice served with vanilla ice cream!
