Gallettini tal-lewż u ċ-ċikkulata (Peanut butter and chocolate cookies)

300g plain flour

1tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

2 tsps bicarbonate of soda

150g butter

100g peanut butter

100g brown sugar

100g sugar

1 tsp vanilla

2 tbsp golden syrup

2 large eggs

100g mixed nuts (walnuts and almonds) chopped

Chocolate chips

Cream the butters, sugar, vanilla and add the eggs.  Sieve the flour, bicarbonate of soda, baking powder.  Gradually stir in flour and fold in nuts and chocolate chips.  Preheat the oven (fan 175) and line two dishes with baking paper.  Drop tablespoon sized balls aat least 2 inches apart on the trays and bake in the preheated oven for 10/12 minutes.  Cool and drizzle with melted chocolate and sprinkle some crushed nuts.
