Chelsea buns…..
For the dough : 800 plain flour ,150g butter, 14g yeast , 150g sugar , vanilla and 500ml warm milk.
Put the flour and butter and rub together then add sugar yeast and warm milk and mix to a soft dough.Then work on a floured surface and knead well for 5min.Cover and leave to rise until double in size.Knock back the dough and roll to a large square, brush the dough with melted butter and sprinkle over sugar, cinnamon , mixed spice , dried fruit , currents and sultanas. Roll like a swiss roll and cut into equal slices cover and leave to rise again brush with melted butter and bake at 180c for about 12 to 15min…..
