Tangy lemon slice

I used a hand held beater to make this cake. In a mixing bowl sift 3/4 cup all purpose flour and 1/4 teaspoon salt and add 3/4 cup of sugar . Stir then add 1/2 cup butter and beat until well combined.
In a bowl whisk 2 large eggs,lemon zest and juice of a large lemon and pour onto the flour,sugar & butter mixture. Beat all together until you have a smooth batter.
Spread the batter in a 8x8inch greased pan and bake in a 175 C oven for about 20-23 minutes or until the the edges are golden.
Let it cool a bit and mix 1/2 cup of sifted icing sugar to a few teaspoons of lemon juice and spoon on top of the lemon cake . Cut into slices .1964989_566524183454527_7475131376090746880_n
