Spicy seafood soup & noodles


A hot spicy seafood soup with Chinese style noodles . This makes a hearty family meal.
Dice 2 onions,1 sweet red pepper and celery ,heat some oil in a large pot and saute the diced veg. If you like it spicy add a chopped chili pepper. 1 teaspoon turmeric and 1 teaspoon hot curry. Add a tin of whole cherry tomatoes or chopped tomatoes,chopped garlic,2 bay leaves,dried thyme ,fresh or dried mint . Then add chopped white fish of your choice ,sliced surimi lobster tails and surimi prawns . Mix in with the sauce and let it cook for a few minutes then add 1.5lt water ,Season with lots of coarsely ground pepper and salt and 1/4 cup of lemon juice ,Add chopped parsley and let it boil then simmer for about 10 minutes . Add the mussels and cover and let it cook for a further 10 minutes or so. In the mean time cook the noodles .
