Shredded cabbage soup

Made a bowlful of shredded red ,white cabbage and carrots for coleslawDSCF1156 DSCF1146 DSCF1147 DSCF1154 DSCF1155 and we did not eat it so I decided to use it to make cabbage soup.
I used beef jerky Teryaki from Dical House to make the soup more flavorful.
Saute chopped onion and the beef jerky cut into small pieces . 1 teaspoon smoked paprika ,add the shredded cabbage and carrots (about 4 cups) then add 3/4 cup of orange lentils and stir fry for a few minutes then pour 1.75 ltr stock ,I used vegetable stock. Let it simmer until the lentils are cooked then taste to season with salt & pepper. I added sliced turkey sausages (to entice my youngest to eat the soup) but it gave the soup a very good taste. And 1/2 cup risoni pasta (rice like pasta) .
