Shakshuka eggs poached in spicy tomato sauce

This egg dish was a hit with my family so I made it for brunch .
Fried some chopped onions ,garlic and a chili pepper then added chopped green pepper ,1/2 a teaspoon of sweet paprika and another of smoked paprika and a good pinch of zhoug spice mix which is a bit hot .Then I added a tin of peeled whole tomatoes and filled half the can to rinse the tomato sauce and added it to the sauce pan. seasoned with salt and broke up the whole tomatoes with the wooden spoon. Let it boil then simmered for about 5 minutes and while bubbling I broke in the eggs .covered the saucepan with a lid and after 5 minutes i added the frankfurt sausages and covered . When I saw the eggs were almost set I sprinkled some finely chopped parsley turned off heat until it was ready to be served.DSCF1918 DSCF1911 DSCF1912
