Pumpkin & yellow lentil soup with tortellini


Today I made pumpkin & yellow lentil soup and added tortellini . Was going to add some ditini (zibeg) pasta but then decided to put tortellini. I love tortellini in broth so why not in soup ? 🙂
Heat some oil in a pot and saute 1 diced onion,1 carrot,some celery stalks,2 potatoes and 400g pumpkin. Add 1 teaspoon turmeric and 1/2 teaspoon of each cumin and hot curry (according to taste) . Then mix in 3/4 cup yellow lentils and 2 ltrs chicken stock. Let it simmer until the lentils are done,taste and season with salt then add 200g tortellini.
