Pizza is a family favorite. I make it twice a month . A perfect informal party dish when we have friends or family over.

My pizza dough:

Sift 1 kg flour with 3 teaspoons baking powder and 1 teaspoon salt in a bowl & mix in 3 teaspoons dried yeast.

In a jug or bowl mix 1 & 1/4  cups tepid water , 1 cup milk at room temperature,1 egg at room temperature ,3/4 cup oil and 1 teaspoon sugar. Mix well.

Make a well in the flour and pour in the milk,water.oil etc .

Form into a dough and knead well.

Divide into four dough balls and let it rise in a bowl covered with a moist tea cloth.

When the dough has risen you can roll out and use to make your pizza.

You can use different toppings  to suit your taste. I also use this pizza dough to make open pies which I like to fill with ricotta & spinach ,calzone ,sausage rolls ,tuna crescents and small meat turnovers.
