Pan fried chicken & bulgur with carrots and peas


Chicken drumsticks and thighs marinated in yogurt,turmeric,paprika,crushed garlic,chili flakes and salt and pepper. Heat a non stick big frying pan or wok. Put some oil and when its hot put the chicken pieces to fry. Reserve remaining marinade. Add sliced garlic cloves according to taste. and let the chicken pieces fry turning until they are all golden ,add some water to the marinade and mix and pour in the frying pan and let the chicken simmer . In the mean time mix the bulgur with some turmeric,cumin and mixed spice(if you have add a tablespoon of ras elhanout spice omitting the other spices. )salt and pepper to taste. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of olive oil and mix well then add 250ml hot chicken stock. Let it stand until all water is absorbed. In a saucepan fry a finely chopped onion,then add some chopped carrots and peas,I used frozen baby carrots and peas. Add the bulgur in the sauce pan and stir on low heat. Add some more chicken stock slowly until its nicely done. It needs to be not too mushy and not too hard .When its time to serve put the bulgur in a big serving dish or bowl and place thr chicken pieces on top then pour the remaining chicken gravy on top.DSCF0875 DSCF0867 DSCF0868 DSCF0869 DSCF0873
