Minced beef,corn beef and vegetable turnovers

When i make pies I am sure my family is happy because they love pies ! This afternoon I made pies with a minced beef & I added a tin of corn beef mixed veg.
I made short crust pastry in the food processor,500g plain flour,1/2 teaspoon salt,175g butter blend these ingredients first until they become like bread crumbs then pour in 1 beaten egg and slowly add cold water until the dough binds together.Turn over on a floured surface and knead lightly . Wrap in cling film and chill in the fridge until its time to use it.
For the filling :Heat some oil in a pot and fry 2 large chopped onions,1 teaspoon mixed spice ,2 teaspoons curry and 2 bay leaves then add 500g minced beef and brown, then I added 4 cups defrosted mixed veg ,diced carrots,potatoes and peas,2 cups defrosted spinach ,2 cups tomato passata (sauce),a vegetable stock cube.2 tablespoons steak sauce,2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce and seasoning. I also add a can of peas and a big can of cornbeef . Let it simmer about 35 minutes ,then remove the bay leaves and let it cool .
To make the turnovers roll out the dough in a rectangle and cut into squares.Brush the edges of the pastry with egg wash made with a beaten egg and 2 tablespoons water mixed together. Put some filling on one side of the pastry and fold to make a triangle .Seal edges by pressing with your fingers then with a fork and prick the surface of the turnover. Before baking brush the turnovers with the egg wash and sprinkle some sesame seeds on top.Bake in a 180 C preheated oven until golden.DSCF2195 DSCF2185 DSCF2188 DSCF2192
