Macaroni bake



This is another recipe of baked pasta . This does not have a crunchy topping ,it has a rikotta ,cream,cheesy egg topping . Smells divine while cooking and tastes delicious  😛

Ingredients:

• 500g macaroni
• 500g minced beef
• 1 chopped onion
• 3 cloves chopped garlic
• 1 big pkt thick tomato juice or passata di pomodoro or tomato pulp
• 4 tablespoonfuls tomato paste
• 1.500ml chicken stock
• seasoning

for topping mix together :

• 3 eggs,1 pkt cooking cream, 1 tub ricotta cheese and 1 cup grated cheese

Method:

In a large pot fry the onion & garlic and add the minced beef and fry until its done .

Mix in the tomato paste and cook it for a few minutes so it lets out its flavor .

Add the tomato juice or passata ,the chicken stock and season to taste.

Let it boil then simmer for about 30mins

Then put the macaroni in and cook the pasta.

Grease a  oven dish and put all the macaroni in the dish.

Pour over it the egg,cooking cream,rikotta & cheese  topping

Bake in a 180C oven until top is set and golden .
