Grilled lamb burgers


These are lamb burgers that can be cooked under the grill ,shallow fried or on the bbq. I make them adding spices giving them a middle eastern flavor , You can serve in a burger bun with frenchfries and coleslaw ,in a pitta bread pocket or as I did with salad and spicy basmati rice with a yogurt & tahini sauce. Either way its delicious 🙂

Ingredients :

  • 500g minced lamb
  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • middle eastern spice mix (cumin,paprika,coriander,nutmeg,pepper,cardamom & cloves)
  • salt and pepper.
  • You can also add finely chopped parsley and mint to these burgers.

Method:

In a bowl combine the ingredients mixing them well ,kneading with your hands is better so you incorporate the ingrediendts well.

Form into 4  patties .

Heat grill to high when it is hot grill on each side for about 10 minutes until juices run clear .

Yogurt & tahini sauce.
For this sauce whisk together
2 tablespoons tahini paste,
1 tablespoon olive oil,juice of half a lemon .
Add to it 2 pots of natural yogurt ,
season with salt & pepper.
Whisk and chill in the fridge until its ready to serve.
