Fragrant Basmati cardamom rice.


When cooking basmati rice it gives off a lovely aroma and it has a distinctive taste . Adding cardamom pods enhances the aroma and taste more.
Heat some oil about 2 tablespoons,in a pot and when its hot add 2 cups rinsed and well strained basmati rice. Stir and add 3 pods of slightly crushed cardamom . Fry for about 3 minutes then add 4 cups water,salt to taste and mix. When it starts to boil,cover and put on low flame until all water is absorbed you will see small sort of holes on the surface of the rice. Turn off heat and let it stand for about 5 minutes before serving .DSCF9741 DSCF9746
