Date & walnut cookies


Cream 3/4 cup butter and 3/4 cup brown sugar until creamy then add 2 beaten eggs and 2 tablespoons milk and 1 teaspoon vanilla or orange flavoring . Then mix in 2 cups flour and 1/2 cup finely chopped dates and 1 cup crushed walnuts. If the dough is too sticky add some more flour. Then chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before baking.
Cut into rounds or shapes . I made stars and a few ‘gingerbread men’ .Bake in a 160 C oven until golden about 10-12 minutes.
