Coffee and Walnut heart shaped biscuits


I used the food processor to make the cookie dough. Put 1/2 cup walnuts and blend then add 3/4 cup sugar,2 cups flour,1/4 teaspoon salt,1 cup butter and 2 teaspoons of instant coffee dissolved in 2 tablespoons of hot water and blend until it becomes a dough. Turn out to a lightly floured worktop and knead and shape into a roll and put in the fridge for 30 minutes. Cut into about 18 slices. I used a heart mold ,but a cutter can be used . Do not roll out thinly ,they were approx as high as a pencil . Before baking a put a pinch of brown sugar over each cookie. Bake in a 175 C preheated oven until the underside is golden.DSCF1505 DSCF1498 DSCF1501
