Cabbage & cornbeef bake


This is like a very big baked cabbage omelette .
Heat some butter and oil in a very large saucepan or pot. Saute 2 large roughly chopped onions,I added 75g of chopped beef jerky but bacon or pancetta can be used. Add 1 teaspoon turmeric and 1 teaspoon garam masala and cook until the onion is soft then add 1 large shredded cabbage and a few cloves of chopped garlic ,it may look like a lot in the pot but it will wilt as you cook it. Season with salt and pepper and stir fry it until it wilts. Take off the heat and stir a large can of chopped cornbeeef in the cabbage . Beat 4 eggs with 1 cup of milk and mix in with the cabbage mixture . Sprinkle lots of grated cheese on top and bake in a 180 C oven until its firm and golden .
