Baked Awrat


Sliced onions ,lots of chopped garlic ,parsley,mixed herbs (thyme,basil & mint) chili,turmeric,cumin and some bahDSCF2076 DSCF2057 DSCF2058 DSCF2070 DSCF2073DSCF2070arat spice mix & zhoug spice mix ,blanched and peeled cherry tomatoes a drizzle of olive oil and lemon juice and seasoned with salt and pepper. The awrat cleaned and rubbed with salt ,some garlic and lemon juice a few pinches of cumin and some olive oil. Put over the sliced onions & tomato base ,1/4 cup of water or white wine then cover with foil and cook in a 180 C preheated oven for 30 minutes. Uncover and let it roast for a few minutes and its ready to serve.
